All the Knowledge in the World
This summer, Museum Huis van het boek presents the exhibition All the Knowledge in the World, featuring works by artists such as Fiona Tan, Efrat Zehavi, and Frédéric Bruly Bouabré. The exhibition delves into humanity’s enduring compulsion to gather, systematize, and preserve knowledge. Historical masterpieces—like Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine and the Enlightenment’s emblematic Encyclopédie by Diderot—are placed in dialogue with contemporary art and artist’s books. The show invites reflection on the human desire to comprehend the entirety of the world’s knowledge: why do we seek to collect it all, and what does that
impulse reveal about us?

Book Market
The accompanying book market brings together creators of extraordinary books. Explore a curated selection of artists, writers, artist-led periodicals, and independent publishers. The market fosters encounter and conversation around the artist’s book as both object and idea. A rare opportunity to acquire a unique edition or publication. Especially for the occasion, a remarkable array of makers and publishers - including JessePresse, Limestone Books, BOOOOOKS Antwerp, Printroom, Kabk Students en Ton Martens - will present their finest selections.
